Albertinia

Albertinia is the epitome of country charm. Following the theme of several small towns in the Overberg region, Albertinia acquired its name from its most illustrious inhabitant at the time, Johannes Rudolph Albertyn.

Originally from the neighbouring town of Riversdale, Reverend Albertyn established the first Dutch Reformed Church of the town and consequently became its minister.

Albertinia is located at the base of the Langeberg Mountains and approximately 50 km from the coastal town of Mossel Bay. In addition to its religious roots, the town is equally surrounded by natural allure. Its primary organic attraction being the multi-purpose aloe.
