This tent style safari in the Eastern Cape is easily accessible and offers 11 luxurious tented suites with a 5 star manor house that overlooks a waterhole that is frequented by wildlife. The lodge was built in 1856 and was immaculately restored as a National Monument. Gorah is also the only lodge located within this private concession in Addo National Park.
In 1931 when Gorah Elephant Camp was proclaimed, only 11 elephants remained in the area. Today there are 450 elephants. These herds are best appreciated on wildlife game drives into the African wilderness that set off twice a day, in the morning and late in the afternoon in specialised safari vehicles.
