The Cape Parrot is regularly spotted at the Woodbush Forest Reserve.

It is the second largest indigenous forest in South Africa. The 14 km forest drive is regarded as one of the best birding areas in the country. Unique birds to look out for are the Cape Parrot, Black-fronted Bush Shrike, Brown Scrub-Robin, Grey Cucooshrike and the Blue-mantled Crested Flycatcher.

Woodbush Forest Reserve offers various scenic hiking and mountain biking trails, and the Debengeni Waterfall is great for a swim or a stopover for a picnic.
