Wilna Strydom Ceramics Style and Influences

A born-and-bred Afrikaans South African, Wilna Strydom of Wilna Strydom Ceramics finds inspiration for her artwork from her creative upbringing, heavily influenced by her shared heritage with the renowned South African sculptor, Coert Laurens Steynberg.

As an emerging contemporary artist, Strydom has a unique style of art that reflects her passion for nature, natural flow and the unseen potential of spaces that she invests in.

With a degree in International Relations as well as an Honors degree in Political Science both from the University of Pretoria, Strydom is no stranger to the less than ideal realities of the world. With that in mind, she uses her art to spread joy and positivity, which is one of her biggest influences.

As a recognized member of Ceramics Southern Africa, Strydom is well-known for her eclectic and often minimalistic approach to art; her ceramics are bold yet soft, textured yet smooth, and elegant yet distinctive. This dichotomy has set her work apart from the rest and has earned her a nationwide reputation for excellence and quality.

If you are looking for a modern and stand-out mural piece for your art collection at home, or for the sprucing up of your business, Wilna Strydom Ceramics will revamp a space like no other - rest assured that her eye for detail, natural energy and dedication to fine art will transform any plain area into a place of ethereal art.
