Wilderness

The coastal town of Wilderness is an idyllic Western Cape destination along South Africa’s Garden Route. It is a firm favourite among locals due to it’s breathtaking scenery and laid-back village atmosphere.

Beaches, lakes and lagoons are framed with beautiful homes and green mountain slopes. Wilderness is also known for being the home and final resting place of former South African state president PW Botha.

Spared from major commercial development, visitors can spend their time relaxing away from the stresses of the city. Soak in all that the Wilderness National Park has to offer, canoe or bird-watch by the water, hike or mountain bike along the many trails in the area.
