Horse safaris offer a unique way to view the wildlife.
For some exercise on safari try the mountain biking with the Waterberg wildlife.

The Waterberg is a wild area three to four hours drive north of Johannesburg. Situated on a high-lying plateau, it has a unique flora and a wide variety of game. One of the major advantages is that it is malaria-free. Several farms in the Waterberg area have banded together to create a large conservancy. The Waterberg’s natural beauty and bio diversity covers 14500 sq km and has been recognised as a World Biosphere reserve by UNESCO.

Accommodation in the Waterberg ranges from simple self-catering camps to luxurious safari lodges. As well as exciting day and night game drives, you can participate in walking safaris or a horseback safari. There are excellent scenic mountain bike trails and plenty of outdoor activities to keep you entertained.
