Game Drives
A game drive at Kwa Mbili Game Lodge is a special activity. Undertaken twice daily by a guide and tracker team with extensive knowledge of the African bushveld, their mission is to show you the interesting array of animals, reptiles and birds of the lowveld. These drives are comprehensive and last about three hours each.
The guide-tracker team don’t rush from sighting to sighting but take their time for you to enjoy every encounter and learn more about the natural habitat. Care is given to show guests the Big 5 as far as possible, but an appreciation for all the creatures of the bush is cultivated on every one of the game drives.
Bush Walks
Led by an armed ranger and assisted by a knowledgeable tracker, these walks can be undertaken every day after breakfast and take about an hour.
Be amazed as the experienced team open up the world of tracks, movements, sights and smells to you. The super adventurous can opt for a bush walk of three hours instead of a morning game drive. Be sure to book this way in advance to avoid missing out on this venturesome safari experience.
Game Viewing & Bird Watching Hide
The KwaMbili Game Lodge has a thatch roof hide that overlooks a small drinking hole and bigger Kwa Mbili dam in the distance. Spend an afternoon hidden away, safely scouting for the different species of animals and birds that use the waterhole. Guests can relax by the swimming pool and terrace that overlooks the waterhole for a glimpse of the animals in the area. Experience sightings of Lions, Leopards and Ground Hornbill birds.
