White River is the home of some world-renowned artists and boasts many an art gallery spread throughout town. The town offers unique shopping experiences and even its own small movie theatre. If it is crafts, arts or history you are after this is the place to stop and spend some time.

The Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre is one of White River’s best-loved spots. Don’t miss the Vintage Car Museum, the quirky orange wines of Rottcher Wineries and the Saturday market selling homemade goods.

A Natural Paradise

The “Lowvelders” as the locals are called, roughly estimated at 15,954; love their sub-tropical home where the weather ranges from warm, sunny days through to misty, cuddle weather or storming showers. The Crocodile River and Nels River conjoin within the Lowveld Botanical Gardens, forming spectacular waterfalls set within an enchanting African Rainforest.

Cave or Bike

Head out for an exciting day to Sudwala Caves and Dinosaur Park. Another option would be to bring your mountain bike and go wild on the Mankele Trails.

Golf Too
