There are numerous routes to walk or bike in the Greytown area.

The Greytown Woodside Trail is a 10 km route around the town and to the Woodside Railway Station. You can bike the trail or walk for more of a challenge. It is a flat and easy route that passes over a couple of water streams and one easy uphill to complete. It’s peaceful, relaxing and great for a family outing. Take a picnic basket with and enjoy the natural environment.

If you have time, you can stop off along one of the rocky hillsides to view the ancient bushman paintings found in the area. You’ll also see the cairn of stones left by a Zulu tribe for good luck.

The Greytown Museum, which has been rated as one of the country’s best museums, houses a great collection of outstanding memorabilia and displays, from a Victorian children's room to steam trains and a ship's cannon.
