The town of Skeerpoort consists mainly of farmlands.

Skeerpoort is a small town that lies in the North West Province of South Africa. The town is nestled in the Magaliesberg Mountain range and is surrounded by beautiful countryside views. The town consists mainly of farmlands and offers a fantastic retreat for city dwellers and those looking to relax.

Skeerpoort is situated in a valley through which the Skeerpoort River courses through, making the area ideal for farming. This town’s main attraction is its tranquil setting that offers some peace and quiet from everyday life. There are, however, plenty of interesting places to visit. Hartebeespoort Dam is a 10 minute drive away and offers a range of leisure activities along its banks. The famous South African heritage site, The Cradle of Humankind, is also not far off. 

In Skeerpoort, visitors can enjoy balloon safaris, hiking, biking, horseback trails and plenty of fun outdoor activities. There is a number of accommodation in Skeerpoort, mainly guest houses, that are suitable for a variety of travellers.
