The Clairvaux Cellar is a popular stop on the Robertson Wine Route.

The valley is one of the most renowned wine-making regions in South Africa. On the Wine Route, be sure to make a stop at the following farms:

Clairvaux Wine Cellar - The Clairvaux is an original French Huguenots farm and boasts with reds, whites, rosés and sweet dessert wines. The farm is right next to the entrance to the town of Robertson, so be sure to make a stop for tasting.

Van Loveren - The family-owned wine farm is well known for its range of excellent wines, including Blanc de Noir wines and superb white wines. Wine tasting happens in a shaded garden on the farm, and visitors can enjoy lunch at their bistro or tour the cellars. The farm also offers birding, hiking and mountain biking routes.

Bon Courage Wine Estate - This wine estate lies beside the tranquil waters of the Breede River. The estate produces noble whites, classic reds and fortified dessert wines. They are best known for their award-winning Cap Classique sparkling wines. Visitors can tour the historic tasting room and enjoy lunch at the estate’s restaurant.

Graham Beck Wines - This famous wine cellar is the proud producer of the world-class Methode Champenoise, which has received numerous awards both locally and internationally. The winemakers are true artists and they handle every harvest with love and care. The farm is also grounded in a strong belief of sustainable farming and protecting the natural biodiversity of their surrounds.

De Wetshof Wine Estate - This estate was the first registered wine estate in the Robertson Wine Valley, and prides itself on being known internationally as South Africa’s eminent Chardonnay House. The estate produces noble white wines and reds and boasts with a beautiful tasting room.

Wandsbeck Winery - Originally known as Agterkliphoogte Co-op, the winery is made up of 20 different members with grapes from 12 farms in the surrounding Robertson area. They produce reds, whites, muscadel and rosé wines.
