Pretoria Boys' High School

Pretoria Boys’ is a distinguished high school for boys located in Brooklyn, Tshwane. It has more than 100 years of rich history and places as one of the most iconic schools of South Africa. Its neoclassical red-brick style main school buildings has earned provincial heritage status. The campus includes sporting and recreational facilities as well as three boarding houses.

The school was originally known as Staats Model School, built in 1897. It was not in use for various years due to the outbreak of the Second Anglo-Boer War (South African War) in 1899. Throughout its history, Pretoria Boys’ has maintained its prestigious image and has produced an array of notable alumni, including two Nobel Prize laureates, several members of parliament, as well as prominent intellectuals and sportsmen.
