Karoo Roadtrip Stopover
Noupoort is located between the Upper Karoo and the Karoo Heartland in the Northern Cape, South Africa. It was once a railway town during the development of the Karoo in the 1920s, but its economy has since declined due to the retraction of trains as a mode of transportation through the Karoo.
Visitors to the Karoo can stop over in Noupoort for refreshments, and linger around to see a few historic and cultural sites, or visit the nearby Camdeboo National Park.
Noupoort's surroundings, though, are unmatched in beauty, it is the land of hills, valleys, rugged mountain ranges, and roads that stretch on as far as the eye can see. It will most definitely add a few beautiful snapshots to your Karoo roadtrip.
