Muizenberg is a little coastal town on the Cape Peninsula that is a popular destination for South African holidaymakers. Due to its wide sweeping beach and safe swimming facilities, Muizenberg is a gem on the Cape Peninsula, and is often explored in conjunction with its neighbour, the quaint town of Kalk Bay. Muizenberg is famous for its spectacular surfer’s corner, funky restaurants and the iconic beach huts that line the beach in an array of bright colours.
The climate is "for all seasons" in this stunning area, according to many locals. A lack of extremes is always in evidence - the warm waters of False Bay are of moderate temperatures, often some 10 degrees warmer than the water on the Atlantic side of the Cape Peninsula. Locals also claim that less winter rain falls here than anywhere else, and spring brings wildflowers on the mountain slopes during the green-growing season. Summer is the dry season, but temperatures are kept fresh by cooling breezes off the sea.
