Game drives in both the Mapesu Reserve as well as the nearby Mapungubwe National Park, are conducted in open-roofed safari vehicles twice a day under the expert guidance of friendly and knowledgeable game rangers.
Located within the wildlife haven of the 7220 hectare Mapesu Private Game reserve, the Mopane Bush Lodge offers a host of animal-viewing activities, which includes high-volume sightings of plains game including buffalo, elephant, eland, giraffe, kudu, zebra, wildebeest and impala. Predators such as cheetah, leopard, caracal and jackal as well as over 540 bird species call the reserve home, which makes for brilliant bird watching opportunities.
