Makarios on the River is located in the 100 ha Nature’s Landing Eco Estate just outside Kenton on Sea (Bushman’s River Mouth). This Bed and Breakfast overlooks the sparkling Bushman’s River. It’s a relatively short travel distance from Port Elizabeth, East London and Grahamstown.
Doug and Stella Swanson are the owners of Makarios on the River and they have been owners and residents of the property for several years. The pair are at your disposal if you’re in need of assistance with discovering the beautiful surrounding area.
Makarios on the River is surrounded by abundant birdlife and small game animals and guests have direct access to the Bushman's River from the estate’s slipway. There are also several beaches, including the Blue Flag Kenton Main Beach which are a short drive away from Makarios on the River and some of the beaches are accessible by river too.
If you’re looking to take a dip in water less salty than sea, Makarios on the River has a cool plunge pool on site and it also has a long exercise pool which can be heated on request when you make a booking.
The Bed and Breakfast is decorated to reflect a modern style while breeding the atmosphere of comfort and hominess. There is an adjoining air strip to accommodate guests traveling with light aircrafts.
