Safari Game Drive
The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve forms part of the Kruger National Park and is home to an abundance of game, smaller mammals, birdlife and plantlife. Guests can embark on a morning safari game drive and see the majestic wildlife of the reserve up close, such as elephant, lion, buffalo, rhino, giraffe, kudu, hippo and various birds.
The trained guide will conduct the tour and point out smaller animals and plantlife to guests, which will make for an interesting and enriching experience. There is a coffee/tea stop during morning open vehicle safari. The sunset game drive includes sundowners in the bush.
Nature Walks
For guests interested in seeing the bushveld up close and personal, guided nature walks are conducted by a trained guide. Nature lovers will see the smaller animals of the reserve, such as aardvarks, meerkats, various insects and a plethora of plantlife. Bird enthusiasts should remember to bring their binoculars along for some awesome bird sightings.
Boma Dinners
After an eventful day out on safari, Mafunyane Lodge guests can return for a scrumptious South African dinner under the stars in the boma area. Centred around a large open fire, guests can relax among the calls of the wild as they enjoy delicious cuisine prepared by professional chefs. Breakfast and lunch is also served at the lodge.
