After leaving Camps Bay on the Atlantic coastline of Cape Town (known as the Atlantic Seaboard), Victoria Drive runs along the foot of the Twelve Apostles towards Llandudno.
Surprisingly, development is curtailed on this lovely stretch of coast, and regular picnic spots have been built alongside the road so that you can stop to admire the view.
Llandudno in the Western Cape, is an upmarket coastal town of large homes that has established itself around a small beach, surrounded by enormous boulders. Sandy Bay, the only nude beach on the Peninsula, can be reached from the far side of Llandudno. However, Llandudno is a largely residential area and facilities for the day tripper are limited. The beach does have its devotees, however, and who can blame them?
