Lounge Poolside

Head over to Lairds Lodge’s swimming pool for a refreshing dip in the water. You can sunbathe on the day beds located along the pool side or spend some time in the gazebo which is open to all the guests. You can also take a swim in the forest pool, surrounded by the serenity of nature.

Lairds Lodge Country Estate Wine Cellar Dining

Lairds Lodge has a wonderful wine cellar which is open to its guests for an intimate fine dining experience. Lairds Lodge kitchen produces tasty foods from fresh local produce and specialises in game and seafood dishes.

The menu is considered one of the finest in the Garden Route and local Cape wines are paired with every meal for a true South African experience. Guests are seated around a large 10-12 seater table, sharing with other guests for a more social meal or you can choose to be seated separately.  

Activities Along Garden Route

You can enjoy exploring local markets around Knysna and Plettenberg Bay to purchase some local souvenirs and home-made treats. Go on whale and dolphin boat tours in Plettenberg Bay or visit Monkey Land, Birds of Eden in the Crags just outside of the town for some more animal adventures. You can go for a hike or mountain bike in the forest or spend the day playing golf in the nearby internationally-rated golf courses.

Walk along the sandy beaches, chase the waves or take in some sun while enjoying a good book. You can enjoy some wine tasting and dine in restaurants in the popular winelands along the Garden Route. In the nearby town of Knysna you can also visit the impressive Heads rock formations.
