Explore the Cape Winelands

As the town of Hermon is situated close to numerous Western Cape Wine Routes, farms and estates, it is the perfect place  from which to explore the Cape Winelands. To the west, you’ll enter the stunning area of Riebeek Kasteel and Swartland, who are known for their delicious samples of olives, wine and port.

If you are travelling east of Hermon, you'll find various mountain biking trails and routes to enjoy.

Make a stop at Allesverloren wine estate in Swartland for a glass of its iconic wines, and grab some olives from any of the nearby farm stalls. If you are in the area in winter, you’ll be able to see the incredible Olive Festival in Riebeek Kasteel, which is made up of cheese, wine, fun activities and of course, olives!

If you are going east, you can follow the Wine Route of Wellington, Paarl and Stellenbosch. Here, you’ll be spoilt for choice with wine estates and cellars - any and every variety of wine is produced here, so whether you enjoy a chilled glass of white or a deliciously sweet dessert wine, you’ll find it!

If you are the adventurous type, there are several mountain biking trails and running routes to complete in the Winelands area, especially in Paarl and Wellington. You can enquire about these routes at any estate in the vicinity of Hernon.
