Famous for its Shiraz, Saxenburg Estate is unique in being able to produce both excellent white and red wines. Wine and cellarmaster, Dirk van Zyl, works with the Saxenburg team to ensure the quality of the wine remains immaculate. The tasting room has a warm ambience, perfect for family and friends to meet and enjoy a tasting of award winning wine.
The tasting room is open 7 days a week and offers a fantastic variety of Saxenburg wines to sample and purchase along with a fine selection of gifts, including Guinea Fowl souvenirs.
The tasting accommodates both tour groups and private individuals. You can also taste and purchase French wines from Saxenburg’s sister property, Chateau Capion or enjoy the estate’s very own Extra Virgin Olive, which is also available for tasting, or you can simply enjoy a cheese platter with your wine tasting.
The Cattle Baron Restaurant
