iSimangaliso Wetlands has some beautiful beaches and visitors, like this loggerhead turtle .

iSimangaliso Wetland Park, is a vast World Heritage Site, set along KwaZulu Natal’s northern shoreline. Isimangaliso covers coastal forests, Cape Vidal and the Eastern shores of St Lucia, St Lucia’s False Bay, Kosi Bay, Lake Sibaya, Lake St Lucia, Maphelane, Sodwana Bay, uMkhuze, Charters Creek and the Western Shore of St Lucia, collectively known as the Ten Jewels of iSimangaliso.

Whether you’ve ever fantasized about playing Robinson Crusoe, of being part of the Swiss Family Robinson, or just simply want to unwind on a shaded sundeck, take in a massage and see wondrous wildlife - iSimangaliso has it all. If you’re a more active guest, there are long beach walks, good surf angling, trips to Lake Sibaya for sundowners, bird watching or kayaking, and unforgettable turtle tours (in season). Ocean activities include a wild boat ride as well as excellent snorkelling. And if you’re a scuba diver, the reefs are exceptional. Shoals of game fish, sharks and schools of bottlenose dolphins frequent the area. Every dive here is an adventure.

The accommodation in iSimangaliso Wetland Park, like the area itself is very varied, from idyllic beach lodges raised on stilts, romantic suites, family get-togethers, fishing buddy retreats to plush luxury camps.
