De Rust is a refined Victorian village in South Africa and home to the blueblood Ostrich, golden vineyards, sundrenched orchards, excellent wines and the spectacular displays of the rare pelargoniums.

De Rust is situated close to Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape, and is the gateway to the scenic Meiringspoort Pass. Meiringspoort is an amazing passageway of the towering red cliffs of the Swartberg Mountains. Some of the most primitive bug species in the world can be found on the peaks of Meiringspoort. It is situated on the N12 en route to the Garden Route and the R62 to Cape Town. De Rust is flanked by the Swartberg Mountains, with the nearest airport being in George (100 kilometres) and Port Elizabeth (350 kilometres).
