Gordons Bay

Picturesque Town

Gordons Bay is a particularly nice town (especially when compared to the high-rise beachfront of Somerset West) and offers a quaint harbour, good seafood restaurants and the beguiling Bikini Beach. Other beaches in the area include Main Beach, Macassar Beach, Melkbaai and The Strand, which has good facilities for the kids.

The popular Monkey Town primate sanctuary is right on the N2, and other nearby attractions include: the Helderbrau micro-brewery, Lwandle Hostel Museum and Crafts Centre and the Vergelegen Wine Estate. If you are an outdoors person, you can take a charter cruise in False Bay, have a round of golf or hike one of the several trails in the area.
