Camp Shonga is an intimate bushveld sanctuary, situated in the famous Kruger National Park. The camp places emphasis on relaxation, bringing guests back-to-basics as they unwind in the African bushveld.
This is big 5 territory, so keep an eye out for lions, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephants but also general game, such as antelope and zebra who are just as loveable. It is not uncommon to wake up to elephants ambling through the bush below the camp.
Watch out for the vervet monkeys trying to steal your food, if you choose to eat out on the main deck. Cute but very naughty, they make for great entertainment if you don't mind this sort of thing. Please note that Camp Shonga does not allow children under the age of 16 years.
