Kommetjie

Kommetjie is a small town situated along the Cape Peninsula’s Atlantic Seaboard. With a few restaurants and shops in the area, it also has camping facilities and rental homes that make for a perfect staycation or getaway in the Cape.

The seaside town of Kommetjie.

Slightly more built-up than the devotedly rural Noordhoek, Kommetjie is best known for surfing, seafood and Slangkop lighthouse. Nearby Long Beach has one of the best surfing breaks in Cape Town, and it attracts many city folk looking to unwind after a hard morning at the office. Imhoff Farm and several large craft centres can also be found in the area.
